Afterthought is a true gem in the heart of Dunmore Town, perched on a hill just one block above the bay. Completely rebuilt with the finest materials and fixtures, the home has been lovingly furnished to provide every modern comfort while preserving its authentic 19th-century Bahamian character.

Bright and spacious, the cottage features 8-foot ceilings on the first floor and soaring cathedral ceilings upstairs. With central air conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, and accommodations for up to eight guests, it is perfectly suited for families or groups.

The first floor includes a king-size master suite with flat-screen TV, built-in coded safe, and private bath. A comfortable living room with large flat-screen TV and DVD player flows into a dining room with seating for eight. The all-new kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, an island with seating, and a butler’s pantry complete with sink, second dishwasher, and wine/beverage cooler. An adjoining office offers everything needed to stay connected: local Bahamian phone, complimentary Vonage line to the U.S. and Canada, Wi-Fi, printer/copier/fax, and a stereo with iPod dock.

Step outside to the covered veranda, spanning 40 feet across the back of the house. This inviting space features an outdoor living room with seating for eight, dining for eight, and a classic wicker swing. It overlooks a private terrace with a gas barbecue, hot/cold outdoor shower, and a beautiful 14-foot plunge pool surrounded by lush, landscaped gardens. Two kayaks are available for guest use, and a full-house generator ensures uninterrupted comfort.

The second floor offers three spacious bedrooms—one king, one queen, and one with twin beds—plus a large bathroom suite with two individual lavatories and a separate shower room. A new washer/dryer is conveniently located in the hallway. Outside, a 32-foot furnished deck leads to a spectacular 14’ x 9’ rooftop deck with panoramic bay views and unforgettable Harbour Island sunsets.
